Decorating a boy’s room can be quite the challenge, especially if you’re a single mom with no idea or experience what to use or choose for a boy’s room. You have an abundance of themes and designs to choose from, but will your little boy like what he sees once the room’s finished? It’s a question that many mothers would ask themselves sometimes, so to give you a heads-up on what to do when decorating a boy’s room, here are a set of tips on how to pick a theme, furniture, and what you can do so that your little boy will love his new room:

1) As much as possible let your son participate actively in the deciding process when choosing his wallpaper, the theme of the room’s furniture, the beddings, and the like. You should at least ask him if he would like this particular design and suggest in a way that he will understand you well.

2) When choosing a theme for the room, decide if you would like to have wallpaper on the wall or paint. You may need to hire a professional to do the job for you so make sure to schedule an appointment early so that there is enough time for the paint or the wallpaper to be applied onto the walls.

3) Make sure not to go over your initial budget when planning on decorating your little boy’s bedroom. Remember that this is a long-term investment in a sense that this is going to be the room he will grow up in, so don’t spend too much on décor that you know will be taken down as soon as he gets older.

4) Allow your son to help you in picking out beddings for his new bed and for his pillows. He will most likely pick cartoon themes like A Bug’s Life or Star Wars so you might want to buy one of a cartoon series and another that’s boyish yet abstract so that when he gets older, he can immediately switch to the latter. You should also let him help you in fixing his beddings so that you can let him know that this is going to be his bed from now on.

5) Furniture should go well with the theme of the room. If not, choose furniture of the same material so that the balance is maintained. For example, if you’re buying a wooden bed frame, don’t buy a set of metal drawers and a plastic cabinet to go with it.

There are hundreds of articles to turn to for advice on how to decorate a boy’s room, so it shouldn’t be too difficult for you to get started. Let the advice of the experts help you, but don’t hesitate to call a professional interior designer to help you out as well.

When decorating a little girl’s bedroom, you have to remember that a girl’s room should be designed and made with utmost care as it is going to be your daughter’s sanctuary, her place of comfort and rest, and a room where she will create and preserve memories till the day she leaves it for her new life in college. Decorating the room should also be a fun experience, whether it is between mother and daughter or father and daughter, so you should be willing to commit to the project till the very end. You wouldn’t want your daughter’s room to look ugly, boring, and dull because of lack of enthusiasm and research now, would you? Definitely not, so to get started here are some possible tips to try when decorating a girl’s room:

1) Start by deciding on a budget for the room. The budget should cover the decorations for the wall, the furniture, the beddings, and other things to make the room a magnificent place to be in. After that, tell yourself to stick to that budget no matter what unless the situation calls for you to spend more.

2) Get ideas by flipping through home décor catalogues, magazines, and by browsing through online décor sites. You can definitely pick out a theme or color and show it to your interior designer who you have consulted with to help you in decorating your little girl’s bedroom. Company Kids and Pottery Barn Kids have lots of choices when it comes to themes and styles for the little girl’s bedroom.

3) If you have extra furniture to add to the room, go ahead and place them wherever they fit. If not, take your little girl with you to buy furniture so that she will be able to see what will be added to her new room.

4) While shopping for furniture, don’t forget to choose at least two beddings for your little girl’s room. Let her choose the colors and themes as she might want to have Barbie or Swan Princess as her beddings. If you’d want to make the most out of the beddings, buy a pink or lilac abstract bedding set so that you can use this even if she gets older.

5) If you’ve decided to paint or cover the walls with wallpaper, make sure that it fits the theme of the entire room as much as possible. The colors should match or blend well with the color of the beddings and the color of the ceilings and floors so that the balance won’t be disturbed.

Last, but not the least, accessorize the room with your daughter at your side. Let her help you with the beddings, decorate the windows with pretty ruffled curtains, and arrange her stuffed dolls.

Are you planning on redecorating your child’s bedroom into something more fun and eye-catching? Does your child want something different for his or her bedroom’s wallpaper like a favorite cartoon character or a different color? There are so many things that you can do with your kids’ bedroom and one of this is changing and placing new kids’ wallpaper. There are all kinds of wall decorations that you can experiment and choose to make your child’s bedroom stand out among others all over the house and all you have to do is choose the right kind of wallpaper. You have thousands of designs, colors, patterns, and prints to choose from so picking wallpaper for your kids shouldn’t be such a difficult task for you. If you think you may need expert advice with regards to the overall look and feel of the wallpaper, you can always hire a professional to help you with the work.

There are many kinds of wallpapers to plaster onto your child’s bedroom walls and this article is going to take a look at three different kinds of kids wallpaper. The first kind of wallpaper that you can use is wallpaper borders. Wallpaper borders are a simple kind of wallpaper that you can easily peel off, especially when your kids are all grown up. The nice advantage with wallpaper borders is that they don’t usually become outdated and they’re available in different designs and themes. You can choose a border design based on the theme of your child’s bedroom.

The second kind of wallpaper is the typical wallpaper that you plaster onto your child’s bedroom wall. These are available in many colors, designs, and patterns, but keep in mind that you’d want to choose a design that will last even if your child grows up. It saves money and time from replacing the wallpaper every now and then. What may be your child’s favorite cartoon character or color may be now may not be the same once he or she reaches the age of 6 or 7. When choosing this type of wall decoration, ask what your child would want for his or her bedroom and at the same time choose a design that he or she would like in the next 3 to 4 years.

The third popular kind of wallpaper is the wallpaper mural. This is a special kind of wall decoration that totally stands out and that truly brings out the beauty and color of your child’s bedroom. Wallpaper murals are also a good idea because they don’t get outdated so easily as compared to normal kids’ wallpaper. You also get to choose various designs such as animals, aquatic life, castles and fairy tales, and even outer space.

If you’re planning on redecorating your child’s bedroom wallpaper but don’t know where exactly to buy wallpaper, you’re not alone. Many parents have trouble looking for good quality wallpaper that not only won’t deteriorate or become outdated but also have the design and the color that they want for the room. Some parents would usually adopt a theme to make their child’s bedroom unique and eye-catching, so the wallpaper should complement or match the theme as much as possible to make it pleasing to the eyes. The truth is that there are many possible places to buy wallpaper for kids and many sources to find good designs and colors to choose from. If you haven’t already started searching for kids’ wallpaper, this article should help you get started.

If you really don’t know where to start and you can’t seem to trust your own instincts when choosing wallpapers, you can always hire a professional interior designer to help you choose wallpaper for your kids’ bedroom. There are many possible designers ready for hire with their websites posted online so start by browsing through these websites for a possible designer to contact. You can then relay what kind of wallpaper your child would want for his or her room or what color or theme that would go well with the bedroom. You can describe or send a picture of the bedroom and the designer will then suggest either meeting up for consultation or would discuss the details online.

A designer would usually know where to get kids’ wallpaper so you can either let him or her buy on your behalf or you could schedule a meeting wherein you two could look at wallpaper choices through a catalog or through displays at a particular store. Usually wallpaper is sold at home improvement stores at the malls and your designer may know a few people who could supply you with the design and color of your choice. Just make sure that the wall decoration you are buying for your child’s bedroom is coated with vinyl and other special materials so that it won’t deteriorate easily after a few months or years of use.

Lastly, you can buy wallpaper for kids online through websites that sell home décor to homeowners worldwide. All you have to do is use search engines like Google and Yahoo and you’ll be bombarded with the number of wall décor stores and websites. Some sellers have websites that are impressive and well-maintained while others would just use websites to post pictures of kids’ wallpapers for sale. Whatever website or store you decide to buy from, make sure that you choose the right seller when buying online so that you will not only protect yourself from scams but also save yourself the hassle of returning useless and low quality wallpaper.

Decorating your child’s bedroom is always a fun activity to do when redecorating your home. If you have a son or a daughter who loves a particular cartoon character or a color for his or her bedroom, you can give him or her something to be proud of by placing the wallpaper of their choice [...]

Decorating your child’s bedroom is always a fun activity to do when redecorating your home. If you have a son or a daughter who loves a particular cartoon character or a color for his or her bedroom, you can give him or her something to be proud of by placing the wallpaper of their choice in his or her bedroom. The possibilities are endless and the choices of kids wallpapers are in the hundreds, so there’s really nothing to worry about when choosing nice wallpaper to place on the walls of your kids’ bedrooms. The nice thing about putting up a special kids wallpaper on the walls of your child’s bedroom is that it distinguishes their rooms from the others around the house, giving them something to call their own and to be proud of. You have all sorts of patterns, colors, and designs to choose from so it would be nice to bring your child along with you so that he or she will be able to pick the wallpaper of his or her choice.

There are also wallpaper murals to use to decorate your children’s bedrooms. This is another type of wall decoration that many claim to be much better than normal kids’ wallpapers. You can also get wallpaper borders if you don’t want to plaster anything permanent into the wall. These borders are simple yet add something special to the room, plus you can easily peel the borders off if you’re ready to place something different onto the wall. These other types of wall decorations for kids are available in the market in different styles, designs, and colors too so you don’t have to worry about limitations with regards to your choices of kids’ wallpapers. If you think choosing by yourself is time-consuming and frustrating, you can always hire an interior designer or an expert with wallpapers to help you out. Usually the choice of kids’ wallpaper would depend on the theme of the bedroom itself, so if you have pink furniture, a pink bed, and all kinds of pink and yellow toys in your kids’ room, most likely the designer would choose wallpaper that’s pink, white, or yellow as well.

No matter what kind of kids wallpaper you decide to place on the walls of your children’s bedroom, what’s important is that it doesn’t crumble or deteriorate too easily and that your child doesn’t develop the habit of drawing on the walls. You might want to consider something that is easier to peel off first if your son or daughter tends to use his or her crayons or pencils to express themselves on the walls. It would just be waste of money you buy expensive wallpaper for kids and find it covered in crayon and pen marks.
